Very interesting. Talks about HSM, the ‘failed 1st operations’ in which Shabaab lost 70 towns/cities, says 99% of clans didn’t support the war and that they’ve destroyed FGS militias. Also speaks a lot about Ethiopia in this second offensive. Says Kenya and Djibouti are window dressing and that Ethiopia will be the real power in this offensive.
Observation is they’re trying to drum up support on the back of anti-Ethiopia sentiment among Somalis but also that they believe they stand little chance against them.
