Burco Development News

The capital needs to be moved to Burco, its more central located. I’d say the government based in Hargeisa and capital Burco. Its where Somaliland was announced and the first major Isaaq city the SNM entered on 27th of may in 1988.

Once the Burco - Ceerigaabo road is finished both Ceerigaabo and Burco will see a huge boom.

I love Burco as it’s my City but we really need to build roads. I remember one time I was in Taweli(East Burco neighbourhood) where sand kept getting in my eyes.

We’re not called Burco Boodh Weyne (Sandy Burco) for no reason. Hopefully we can get that resolved as it’s a lovely vibrant city

I think if the capital city changes to Burco then it would bridge the gap between Galbeed and Bari dynamic. As well as, the taxes of Burco Residents needs to be used in Burco instead of Berbera. I think the capital should either be Boroma or Burco. It is an economical injustice that Hargeisa remains to be the capital of Somaliland.

Very nice planning. The mini grid is the best way to plan cities as it encourages walkability. Shame they did leave any dan guud areas like parks

So i was at Zoom Earth recently and while looking at Burco i noticed massive growth in the size of the city and also development and it's overall lushness in the last 7 years. What I'll be doing is show you guys Burco in 2013 vs Burco in 2020

Here is the city of Burco in 2013 two thousand feet off the ground

Burco's growth is so impressive. And it has room for much more expansion.

It is also sitting on some of the largest aquifers in the region, so water is never a problem.

Burco is a massive and underrated city, it has some good city planning and it has some good roads, they even started refurbishing the older ones. Future capital of SL

More pavement of their roads would be a major step in the right direction, and the way Burco is layed out with it's grid like city design it would be a breeze

Can’t wait to revisit burco. The people are friendly and welcoming.

even i got the vip treatment (well they are my reer abti).

they seemed to understand that the issues of the northern states are just border disputes and nothing else.
walle i hope that their city grows and that the people’s lives get more comfortable.
