Building a swimming pool in hargeisa

Why aren't more diaspora doing so? How much is the cost /maintenance!? I thought folk would be doing this by now.

Somalis don't swim like that.

Lap swimming is my main form of exercise, and I've tried encouraging a few people to come with me to the pool for competition, and to reap the benefits. Other people, White, Asian, whatever, have been down with it, but with Somalis, I keep hearing the sentiment that they can't be bothered and that it's an cadaan form of exercise, when in reality it's the easiest, funnest way to stay in shape and no trouble.
