Cheating death in berbera
just thought i would post a thread dedicated to the Royal Navy, more for my own reference than anything else. I will add more details about the RFA, FAA, Serco Denholm & the RMs.

The Fleet

Flotillas

HMNB Portsmouth Flotilla (30 vessels)
HMNB Clyde Flotilla (18 vessels)
HMNB Devonport Flotilla (20 vessels)
The Royal Fleet Auxiliary (18 vessels)

There are also 10 more patrol vessels, 66 Royal Marines watercraft and 110 Serco Denholm support vessels.

Overseas Squadrons

The Gibraltar Squadron (HMS Scimitar & HMS Sabre)

The 9th MCM Squadron (Gulf - 4 MCMVs, 1 Bay class LSD, 1 Hydro ship, auxiliaries, a frigate and destroyer and an SSN is usually deployed "East of Suez").

A new Royal Navy base is being built in Bahrain that will be able to accomodate a RN CSG including:
a QEC strike carrier, Type 45 destroyer, 2 Type 23/26 frigates & RFA vessels.

UK naval forces in the South Atlantic - The Falklands Guard ship HMS Clyde, a frigate or destroyer, an Ice patrol ship, a replenishment vessel, and an SSN is usually on patrol in the region.

Queen Elizabeth class 70,600 tons
HMS Queen Elizabeth (named on 4th July & floated out 17th July 2014, sea trials 2016/17, flight trials 2018)
HMS Prince of Wales (assembled by summer 2016, launch 2017)

Assault carriers

HMS Ocean LPH (22,000 tons) able to embark 830 assault troops - TAG 10 x Merlin HC3s, 4 x Wildcats, 6 x Apache AH-1s, also able to carry Chinooks.
