Colonel Sumaysane who briefly took over Garoowe's Mohammed Abshir International Airport belongs to Abdiwali Gaas's sub sub clan and hails from Mudug region.

The Colonel who took over Mohamed Abshir Airport delaying the SRSG Haysom here with Gaas his name is Colonel Mahmoud Abdulkadir Hassan better known as Colonel Sumaysane. He was the commander of the Puntland troops fighting in Galgala
