Mosul was liberated and now Raqqa. The Kurdish have waged war on the IS terrorists with US backing. How come Somalia can't liberate anything, they had more time than the Kurds to defeat these terrorists?

Comparing the conflict in Somalia with Syria is pretty stupid, the fighting in Somalia is limited to clan clashes and occasional terrorism, its a low intensity conflict. Syria is in a full blows civil war which has left 500,000 dead within 5 years and has multiple foreign actors involved such as Iran , Russia the USA and gulf states.

Even more of a reason why Somalia should have defeated shabab already. They have the AU and US backing and Al Shabab isn’t as big as ISIS. My main concern is Isis defecting to Al Shabab even though they have a slight difference in ideologies.

The government should demand the lazy fufus to stop dillydallying and start putting a real plan in motion. Military forces of about 4 different states are stationed in Somalia, the fact that they are holedup in several strongholds is laughable. What's preventing them from charging on Al Shabab towns the way Iraqi coalition did on the formerly Daeshheld Mosul? Bloody but victorious.
