    Breaking News

Federal government asks president Mustafa Omer to resign in hastily called meeting in Addis Ababa today.

President Mustafa refused to resign. The situation is tense and things can get out of hand any time.

We appeal to the people of Somali region to rise up to defend president Mustafa Omer, and the honor and dignity of Somali citizens.

As long as Somali galbeed is under Ethiopia expect this to be a normal occurrence. Looks like Cagjar refused to play ball and now they're getting rid of him. They want someone like Iley who played their game and who they can discard like a used condom later on. If the fed gov don't want cagjar there's nothing the people can do. Iley who had thousands of loyal liyu dogs was taken away like a little gashaanti, Cagjar doesn't stand a chance. Better for him to resign peacefully instead ending up like his cousin.

Unlike abdi dameer, Cagjer enjoys widespread support from every clan and Itoobiya won't get away with it if the shacab has something to say about it

This is Ethiopia we are talking about, a few Islaamo chanting and some tire burning isn't going to work. Fed gov vs mostly unarmed civilians = massacre of epic proportions. Ethiopia doesn't tolerate dissent, especially in the Somali region where it adopted a scorch earth policy. Worst things have been done by the Ethio forces, like dissapearing whole villages and no one dared to fight back. If the hundreds of massacres didn't cause an uprise, you think cagjars forced resignation will ignite a revolution?. You're too optimistic sxb.

Let's wait and see. Aby Ahmeds administration is very different from tplf, he'll have to make concessions. I don't believe they'll go through with this firing

He did air bomb olf so i dunno, you might be right

I am basing this on the TPLF's policy towards Somalis, my pessimism could be unwarranted in this situation. lets sit back and see how this admin reacts to large scale dissent.

There's a power struggle between Cagjar and the oromo sheegat Ahmed Shidhe. This bastard is also most likely behind todays unrest in Dirdhabe

If Djibouti weren't so fulay Ethiopia wouldn't dare pull this shit. More than 90% of their imports (food) come from the port there. Djibouti could've threatened to starve them once they started massacring villages. Walahi it's sad.

They would invade Djibouti and karbaash them. They've made that threat before.

The guy is accusing Cagjar of wanting to cede Somali towns to Oromia?. Is he a member of the DDSI dawlad and is he a reliable person?.
