PM Abiy is reportedly in Jigjiga this morning. The Ethiopian PM and his envoy are attempting to travel to Hargeysa to counter the anticipated visit of Egyptian president Sisi to Muqdisho (which is yet to be confirmed by the government).
The FGS civil aviation body is on high alert and is planning to deny entry to any Ethiopian flights to Hargeysa. Musa Bixi could travel by land to Jigjiga to meet Abiy there if air travel isn't possible; again going by land to enter Somaliland. This is a major escalation by Ethiopia!
