I was reading this nice article on how the colonial powers created the current borders of Somali weyn and how they grouped us to gather in 1884 while we had different monarchs.

This part of the article surprised me the most, the fact that both Djboutian and Somaliland Flag both contain subnimal message that concept of Somaliweyn is dead tells it is infact never excited before and they are don't believe in it.

I question the analys of the Djiboutian flag, anyway half of are canfar, and it'd won't be ok to force them to accept our Soomaaliweyne flag, nor anyone of them claim it is their flag.

Maybe it's true for the somaliland one, but i doubt it's the same for Djibouti.
When the flag of Djibouti was designed Somaliweyn sentiment was still pretty strong

No Somalilander, who otherwise will readily tell you they think the idea of Somaliweyn is dead, has ever mentioned any hidden symbolism in the Somaliland flag.

I am surprised the OP didn't stop to think for just a second before posting this nonsense. The idea of Somaliland reasserting its Independence is a public, official declaration of several things including that to Somalilanders the idea of Somaliweyn is dead. Why then would they hide a subliminal message in their flag, for something they are already publicly declaring?

The Somaliland flag is based on the SNM flag, which was originally adopted by the SNM at a time they still believed in a united Somalia.
