In the U.S. it's worse. Everyday thousands of them convert in prison and then stay to marry Muslim women. They accept them as Muslims, but it all breaks down the road.

It is because Islam allows potential predators to marry a women and divorce them verbally without involvement of the state.

It prevents alimony and child support if they split, plus less time is invested in getting to know eachother before marriage so the women can be taken advantage of.

Even if they do the same thing there is a value in preserving your culture and identity. It is also worse for the women and children in the long run as to have ajnabi kids affects the Somali womens future options.

It can prevent her from remarrying into the community and even if she doesn't want that, it alienates the kids being raised in the Somali mums culture but not being counted as a Somali by the wider community.
