Australia Model of Federalism is 6 States and 2 territories. 1 territory is the federal capital and is tiny-small 500k population and located in-land. It follows the model of human body(big body, small head) the big body is the region and the head is smaller. Somalia past state model was a 'big head, but small body'.

The regions developed first for at least a century before they convened to discuss federation and what the federal govt role, duties, powers were. Somalia needs to do this also. You can't rush federation, every part must fix itself first and when all parts are fixed then we all can discuss the federal govt role.

We need to get past this silly federalism debate and begin entering democratic models to be created such as inclusive vs popular democratic models. America has an inclusive democracy(popular vote, with an electoral college) where-as Australia is purely a popular democracy only not inclusive.

How do we incoporate Somali characteristics into our democracy so it's not just a copy n paste from foreign world. We must avoid copy/paste solutions, it's lazy, and it won't last for longer then 30 years as we witnessed with past state experiments that attempted that.

We need to get party philosophy set up relating to Somali characteristics. Issues like free market philosophy from 1969-1969 vs communist model of 1969-1991 or a mixed model taking what was best from each era. Maybe HG can be the party promoting black market model post 91 till now becuz it's their legacy on the nation. Wa xaqiiq jira, waa sheeko soo martay somalia story.

We haven't even reached discussion of the legal architecture model and what's going to influence it and will itself be an hybrid system. We got so many other areas that is going to take 20 years to settle, why are we still stuck in federalism debate.

Interesting point made about America federation, they came from confederation first and migrated to federation. Australia regions first developed itself for a century, before they held a federation summit in 1901. Federation is useless if the regions is not completely outside federal govt control. It's the regions who have to create the federal authority. With our system the federal govt is trying to create the states kkkkk nacala always backward somalis.
