@Bidaar Wanagsan is a folksy intelligent old man living in the UK who’s contribution to sspot is unique and unparalleled. Bit of background about bidaar.
Our friend bidaar survived a purge of Siyad Barre’s army in 1978, after the disastrous campaign the year earlier. He engaged in anti govt activities for over a decade, during which he is alleged to have committed war crimes.
In 1990, the gullible authorities in the UK accepted his asylum claim and he’s been there since. He’s been trying to assimilate since then and has put in countless hours in ESL classes, all to no avail. He is not a citizen of the UK and the government is currently investigating allegations of war crimes against him.
Compounding his problems, he is 62 years old and openly lusts after women a quarter his age, which gets him into all sorts of trouble. He was prosecuted 4 times in the last 15 years for sexual assault, and found not guilty each time because the jury felt sorry for him.
Currently, bidaar is in legal limbo awaiting a court’s ruling on his case. If he loses, he goes back home and risks facing justice.
