BGR Government Affairs has inked a $35K monthly pact to represent war-torn Somalia before the Trump Administration, Congress, media and policy community.

The Trump White House has stepped up drone strikes in Somalia, which does not have a functional government, according to the May 9 Politico. It reported that US Special Operations and CIA forces have teamed with local warlords to fight ISIS and Al-Qaeda affiliates in Somalia.

BGR is the firm of former Mississippi Governor and Republican National Committee chairman Haley Barbour. The firm’s contract with Somalia began May 1 and runs through 2019.

BGR joins another well-connected Republican, ex-New York Senator Al D’Amato, on the Somalia lobbying team.

D’Amato’s Park Strategies signed a $10K monthly contract with Somalia last November to assess “relevant policy, economic, and security developments that have implications for the relationship with the Somali Republic and the US."

35K month can be spent on the Soldiers. Caqli xumada Koonfuria ayaa la yaabay.
This reminds me of sland paying some fake company to promote ictiraafism.:meleshame:

Dont compare useless SFG to Somaliland. Somaliland pays and maintains its security forces and has been stable for long time. It can justify hiring a lobbyist.

But for SFG that only controls parts of Mogadishu. $35K would maintain 3,500 soldiers at $100 per month :draketf:

Lowest literacy rates indeed.

I swear sometimes it seems Farmaajo & co are retards :gucciwhat:

I wonder if they got a bribe to sign this useless contract:damnmusic:
Kheyre is there to make sure the oil block sales go through smoothly without federal state interference and Farmaajo has dreams of centralising Somalia. I wouldn't be surprised if this move was to gain an outside ally for centralising Somalia since the EU prefers the working federal model.
