I agree MJs are good at politics, but other somalis would rather have non somalis rule over them than let another clan rule. Waa xaasid, thats why i wouldnt mind if puntland where its own country, but that will not happen(just look at somaliland as an exemple). But i also think if we were in the same place as somaliland, seeking recognition, im sure we could pull it off, we are more politically savy than our neighbours in the west.

The reasons Somaliland is not recognized is pretty compelling though and would apply to any clan. We already have 2 Somali countries due to colonialism no need for a third which willingly gave up its independence in the first place.

I think a better analogy would be you if you guys had been in Somaliland's position where you could have chosen to join the union or not you wouldn't have given up your independence and been so quick to unite with the other Somalis for naive reasons such as Somalinimo.

I think if both Puntland and Somaliland go for secession balkanization will happen since thats more than half of Somalia, but PL and SL would have to agree on a border. Nothing wrong with going different ways, remember we achieved greatness when we wasnt forced into union.

Somalia is a failed project, we all believed in unity 1960s and it died 1991 that is why Somalis are still stuck in a loophole.
