Why does Somalia's architecture look like Arab architecture..

That's the most African building I've seen, lololol. Almost thought that looked like this Ugandan hotel.

The structure of a lot of Somali buildings remind me of Saudi Arabia.

Beautiful, but looks a bit of Arab architecture as @PuntiteQueen said. And too much floor marbles, they should have made it into a garden where guests would sit and relax.

Great idea, an outdoor cafe with a garden would bring in more revenue.

They could even build a rooftop restaurant for guests to enjoy the view. Imagine having breakfast on the roof or in the garden, all they need is outdoor ventilation and shade from the trees.


I feel like the wealthiest Somalis have no imagination sometimes.

Insha'allah, I will make amazing things happen in Puntland's leisure/food scene.

mashallah may it rival the other big puntite towns, if well built with proper urban planning it could ease the population of Bosaso which is a mess(no urban plan).

i mean anything that will benefit yourself and the region you will be based from. i personally promote any type of production or manufacturing. we have plenty of restuarants and hotels. we need something that will raise our gdp and provide job opportunities for young graduates. for example, tuna factory, recycling company(this is needed too much garbage in the city), cement factory, agriculture, proccessed foods, etc.

From what I've heard Martisoor hotel is owned by Juxa and an Omar Mohamud businessman.

Juxa isn't the sole owner. The co-owner is Omar Mohamud --> reer Hersi. I agree with you it's going to be the best hotel in Puntland and perhaps Somalia.

How's beesha doing in terms of hotels? We are heavily represented in civil society with multiple director generals in ministries, famous doctors, directorshop of the largest ngo PDRC. but what about hotels? The land in Barxada garowe belongs to us.

@Abdalla from what I heard most Omar Mahmoud Hotels are 'shares' with other clans. @Manzana has confirmed this with Juxa and Omar Mahmoud sharing Martisoor? however I read something else about that hotel. It's apparently a $2 million dollar investment by Abdi-Hodan Isse. What clan he is I don't know
