If you pay attention to reports about street children in Somalia, you will see that most are Bantus. Somalia really needs to do something about the serious poverty and broken family structures in the Bantu community.
Other Somali groups have orphans but they always have at least one family to look after them. Meanwhile, you will see Bantu children roaming the streets alone and being homeless. They didn't come from thin air, they were abandoned and somehow, they ended up thousands of KMs away in Bosaso etc.
These children are in danger of being exploited, trafficked and recruited by criminals such as AlShaydan. If Somalia's government is serious about tackling security problems, the biggest crisis we have is thousands of homeless Bantus. Nothing good comes out of homelessness.
Employ their men in the SNA, demolish IDP settlements and move them back into their farming villages. It's unacceptable to see any homeless person, let alone CHILDREN.
This community also needs to be studied to find out why they don't have the same social network that provides protection and housing for orphans.
