100% somali is behind it
But u canr hate it if he dropped the source
Al tabari, a Muslim historian claimed he was related to Aksumite royalty and makes no reference to him being a slave, but he came a little later than Procipius so I lean towards the latter but still open on the idea tbh.
Either way I think it’s silly to treat this as a slight against Axum lmao, I actually respect that Axum had the social mobility necessary for a slave to reach such high ranks. You know many many Sultans, generals and other high ranking people across the Islamic had slave ancestry on there maternal line.
Also Abraha was never the King of Axum, he was an Axumite viceroy who ruled Yemen and was one of the commanders who invaded Yemen alongside King Kalebs army in the 6th century. But he never once ruled over Axum.
