Killed or fled 300k are dead, imagine destroying your country to be a proxy for the west when the Russians go on the offense this winter Ukraine could loose 9 regions or 2/3 of their country.
Honestly thought Russia wouldโ€™ve won this war by now ngl when this conflict first sparked.

Nope the Russians are using an old tactic of the Soviets why blitzkrieg through your opponent when you can grind them down, Ukraine is 40 million people while Russia is 150 million also most of Ukraineโ€™s population have fled.

Keep in mind the west wanted the Russians to take Ukraine and then Ukraine use gorilla warfare. Ukraine is f*cked they keep attacking Russian defensive lines there running out of men, weapons, and the Russians will go on the offense this winter. Itโ€™s like when Hitler kept attacking Soviet defensive lines no German general was bold enough to tell him we donโ€™t have the men for it and itโ€™s better if we go on the defense.

Literally why die for a post Soviet shithole when you can just go to Germany or Scandinavia? Ukraine doesn't have a good future

Corruption, intelligence failure, logistical failure, ill preparedness, incompetent military structure, lack of foresight/ anticipation, glory of past victories and status blinded Russian leadership and led to a disastrous invasion. They couldโ€™ve easily taken it especially in the early stages when they captured more than they have now, but they didnโ€™t expect Ukraines resistance and expected their command structure to collapse after targeted assassinations by spetsnaz and GRU. (Which failed). Plus then uniting the EU (a tremendous accomplishment) to place sanctions and wage proxy warfare against them. Tbh if Iโ€™m nato itโ€™s looking like a golden opportunity where I could use a former soviet vassal state to weaken my arch nemesis while providing cheap weapons at the behest of my tax payers with no boots on the ground. Russia lost its military prestige around the international community which weakened Russian arms export sales. Plus the EU decoupling from Russia and relying more on the U.S. is probably the worst thing thatโ€™s happened to them long term since they wonโ€™t have their influence over the EU anymore. In the long term inter dependance between China and russia will increase as China takes the number 1 spot, its looking like after WW2 when the US indebted Britain to oblivion making them their small island territory. Russia has restructured its military a lot since the invasion led to serious questions about its effectiveness. They increased the age of conscription to 22 I believe now. Amidst other things but it will take them around a decade to fully rebuild its army considering its losses and the economic damage. Considering itโ€™s not Ukraine vs Russia itโ€™s more like NATO vs Russia I give them props but they couldโ€™ve avoided this. The goal was to prevent NATO expansion but Finland joining nullified any territorial gains they got from the war considering their new border with nato is now massive. However Iโ€™m sure whenever the US invades a new country which is probably not too far off (wonder what excuse theyโ€™ll use this time) they will arm the other nation to the teeth as revenge, they lost over 100K soldiers and their orthodox extreme nationalists so they believe in an eye for an eye no matter what. I wouldnโ€™t be surprised if they go for Iran considering the USโ€™s hostile propaganda media towards them but the causalities would be way too high considering Irans landscape/geography, population, home grown production, guerrilla warfare capacity and a vast underground tunnel system. Carpet bombing Iran would barely do damage to their military infrastructure and thatโ€™s where the US loses its edge as negating air superiority is the current situation in the Russo Ukraine war leading to the high casualties .

Young men are smarter these days, you die for a country, but you don't receive special privileges during times of peace
Cowards get to enjoy all the women and good food because they stay alive, while the so called "brave" ones die, and leave behind their wives for other men. I know which one I'd rather be. :hemad:

If they weren't going to help all the way, troops on the ground, drones etc..., then they should have stayed out. It seems the west were using Ukraine to derail Russia's economy.

What do you mean staying out? And how are the west using Ukraine to derail Russia's economy when it was Russia who invaded Ukraine? If Russia made miscalculations on their war, then that's on them rather holding other countries accountable.

I don't understand your point about the treasury being drained?

It was a joke. But I was referring to how much giving financial and military support western countries were to Ukraine. Which is in my opinion is disproportional given that Ukraine isn't making any major progress.
