AS claims to have taken Moqokori

If this proves to be true it would mean that AS nearly completely reversed the FGS offensives of the last years. Thousands of soldiers and macawisley died for AS to just recapture these areas in less than 3 years

It's Alshabaab propaganda they attacked Gumarre near Moqokori in the Hiiraan region and SNA and Macawisley responded back swiftly and fought them off for 2 hours killing 10 AS millitants and securring Gumarre.

They succesfully been attacking many AS hideouts in different areas.

Very bad. AS is now free to either keep pushing in Hiran or turn its eyes over to the coast (Haradheere, Ceel Dheer, Adale) and return to a pre-2022 situation after the SNA exhausted itself against them. Eastern Hiran is very likely to fall as well.

That happened on the fifth. Gumarre changed hands 2 times on the 5th, but the maciwesley militias had to fall back to Moqokori on the 6th, which has now fallen as well.

Where can we find non-AS source that can confirm this?

The Ministry of Defense hasn't even updated it on their twitter

Edit: Found a source published today that talks about it
Preliminary reports suggest both deaths and injuries occurred, but the exact number of casualties has not yet been confirmed. Neither the district administration nor security officials have issued a formal statement on the incident.
The attack comes amid an increased military buildup in Moqokori, where Somali National Army and allied local forces have been mobilizing in recent weeks to launch offensives against al-Shabab strongholds in Hiiraan and neighboring Middle Shabelle.

The reports are very conflicting. With both sides claiming a different outcome.

This is here as well:

Harun Maruf, a trustworthy journalist also was now able to verify and confirm fall of moqokori with his local sources. He correctly confirmed the fall of adan yabal early too. Like with adan yabal it will probably take a day or two until all the other somali and international news sites confirm and report this too.

So thousands of SNA soldiers dead only for us to go to block one. AUN to all of the shaheeds.

It seems the former government clearly knew about the SNA capacity and limit and purposefully choose not to go on the offensive until they're prepared enough. How 5+ years of building up the SNA has gone to waste and AS emerge just a little banged up.

I think within 2026 and 2027 the fgs will just rollover and be gone. Alshabab will rule the south and eventually all of somalia. The fgs already have the stink of hsm and people would prefer a different system?

If hsm elects himself again yes it will be. Let khyere or deni takeover we may have a chance
AS will never have the capacity to overrun certain regions like western Galgaduud and mudug and maybe lower juba and Gedo and banadir.

AS might be able to over run men with AK47s but an experienced clan millitas with multiple teknikos, chain of command, proper logistics and trained fighters will send AS running. Especially if they are on the defensive in their home turf. Also Galgaduud a Mudug clans have access to heavy weapons and not zuugs or small mortars. I mean d30 artillery, anti tank and tank weaponry as well as bebes and the like.

Hiraan is putting up a ferocious fight to the death while the FGS looks on, some might be confused over this stance by the FGS, simply put HSM doesn’t trust Xawaadle tribe with arms and fears that if AS is routed from these regions, the macawiisleey will turn on Abgaal and attack them to settle old scores.

Qabil before qaran with these folks, one rule for me but another for thee. Push plastic patriotism on the side and employ horgals whilst actively sabotaging the defensive measures of other clans.
