Arizona Cop Kills Somali Man Who Threw Rocks At Patrol Car​

An investigation has begun after a Phoenix officer shot Ali Osman, a Somali man with a history of mental health issues, who they said threw rocks at their car.

A Somali man’s family is demanding justice and transparency after an Arizona police officer killed their loved one for allegedly throwing rocks at their patrol car.

According to NBC News, Ali Osman, 34, died at a Phoenix hospital following the shooting that took place Saturday evening. Police said in a news release that two patrol units driven by unidentified officers were traveling through the intersection at 19th Avenue and Tuckey Lane when unknown objects hit their vehicles.

An officer in one of the units got out to look around and discovered a man “throwing rocks towards his patrol car,” NBC reported. The officer asked him to stop, but Osman — whose family said he had a history of mental health problems — allegedly refused.

Why would anyone throw rocks at armed police officers? In Murica, knife, rocks, or anything that can harm someone is regarded as a weapon. If you attack a police officer by punching him and suffocating him, self defense is allowed. I am not condoning this deadly incident, but that is what we need to understand in the American context.

That being said, I think the brother who was killed, should've received mental help. May Allah (swt) forgive his sins and takes him to Jannah.

Normal police would not shoot a citizen for throwing rocks, that's seen as barbaric police brutality, it isn't normal and the officer should be held accountable.

I remember when I lived in Colorado I was dared to throw a water bottle at a cop car. I was about 13 years old at the time. I actually threw two nearly empty waterbottles at the cops front window and ran. They actually stopped their car, turned their sirens on and attempted to chase me before giving up. I was too fast for them to catch. The moral of the story here is that if American Cops are willing to chase teenagers for a silly prank, they will gun a grown ass man down for throwing rocks at them. These guys are looking for some type of drama so they can enforce the law.
