It's not that deep. Consider that somaliland has already been independent for 30 years and has been making deals against the soamli gov's interests like the Berbera deal with UAE. Also consider that somalia's has absolute no control over most of it's territories and for 16 years the gov's has been kept alive and its legal rights protected by the UN and they can pull the plug and let somalia splinter and become a terrorist haven at anytime. I really dont think this will change anything because keeping this gov around is well within their interests and other countries wont want to harm this balance.

lots of reports that turkish military has flown into mogadishu along side meetings with sisi and hsm. I think worst case scenario if ethiopia does take more aggression we will see egyptian support. their military is far more powerful then ethiopia along side ethiopia getting sanctioned like a mff
