Majority groups (whites in this case) tend not to think much about racism, while minorities (POCs here) tend to over-analyze and are hyper-altert on racism and microaggressions. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle.
Well some cadaans are taught to view this as a non-issue as they aren't affected systemically by racism. That's not to say they don't experience poverty or classism but they benefit from 'racial neutrality' aka being seen as the 'norm'. As they control the institutions they also see themselves reflected and represented everywhere and are somewhat clueless about what minorities experience.
Look at it this way in 2016/17 Cadaans were:
Ten richest Americans 100%
US Congress - 90%
US Governors - 96%
Top Military advisors - 100%
President + Vice President - 100%
US House Freedom Caucus - 99%
People who decide which TV shows you see - 93%
People who decide which books you read - 90%
People who decide the news coverage - 85%
People who directed 100 top grossing films of all time - 95%
Teachers - 82%
Full-time college professors - 84%
In America cadaan people largely live in racial isolation from madows and have few authentic cross-racial relationships. Cadaans are deeply influenced by the racial messaging they see in films. Imagine most film makers being cadaan and men. And these individuals represent the 'other' and will do so in an often narrow, problematic and reinforced way.
I read this recently in a book called White Fragility by an cadaan professor.
