Are Somali’s depressed in the west?

I remember in college there were a bunch of young somali people filled with life. They were the party types and were always having a good time doing all types of haram. I went on twitter and came across a girl page and it was filled with depressing tweets, quotes, and hadith. I came across another guy who was a hot head, and its the same thing. No one likes and retweets there pics or things and if people did was few compared to before.

I haven’t been through this myself since my life has been consistent alhamduillah. Is this an western problem? I think life hit them in the face but I would like to know your opinion on this.

most people who do drugs go parties commit zina etc etc end up becoming depressed as a result.
They essentially sell their soul to shaytaan for the a couple years of pleasure until none of those things can give them pleasure anymore, there life just becomes numb and they become depressed or sad or whatever as a result of it, usually the happiest people become the saddest.

Its usually the boring ppl who stay consistently content throughout their life and don't go on these major highs or lows
Although life is complicated everyone has their own different reason for everything.
Some ppls depression is a phase, some is a permanent state, some just ignore it, some have it due to a midlife crisis, some have it due to ir-religiosity,
