In the video he said many of these sites are pre-Islamic tombs which we don't know the date of so they could also predate the middle ages.

I cant fully remmbwr where i read it but apparently Most of the cairns in somalia im pretty sure are preislamic. We seemed to have stop building them a few centuries into the Islamic era.
