My siblings and I are allowed to be In relationships before marriage.
But my parents just need to know.
Like I am allowed to go on a date with a guy even without a mahram around.

I told this to my somali friend and she was shocked, she said that's totally not allowed in her household, she can only talk on the phone with him with her family around. Which is the correct islamic way I agree. But that's too awkward for me.

My parents don’t believe in that if you want to meet him he comes to the family house. I do tell my parents everyone that I’m speaking to though, I try to be as transparent as possible.

My parents were the same. I don’t know if that makes parents like ours open minded or not, besides people can be open to one thing and totally conservative on another, but I think it does indicate trust and that can only be a good thing.

Marriage is very serious and a potential source of great rewards. If you have children and they do good deeds- they are rewarded for their good deeds and you are rewarded for their good deeds. Even after you leave this world- you can be rewarded for the good deeds of sons and daughters you have left behind.
