Arabic Kufic style font

Not a fan of Arabic script as it is too messy, complicating and is to right to left script not by cup of tea but wanted to ask why does they use kufic square
script font in all publications including the quran as it would be easy to learn.

Right to left left to right not too big of a deal. The greeks wrote side to side to side
The reason why they use the classical naskh style writing is because they always done so. Same reason why some words in quran have small alif rather than full alif e.g. العَـٰلَمِين instead of العَالَمِين Its a bit more complicated than that but thats basic
In my opinion modern kufic aka sans serif for arabic is more legible when done right however the harakaat are awful and i hate trying to read the small lines that are used. Also a lot of these fonts use rectangular edge to the letters but circular dots rather than square and it doesn't sit right with me. The fully square doesn't feel right, maybe they should use rounded square
And a lot of the time they mess the font up and make it illegible in the pursuit of minimalism. The letters have no difference hard to tell the difference between ـفـ and ـغـ or ـد and ـر
Square kufic can also refer to this calligraphy style and i hate it so much you cant read it. Even if you know what it says and you can decipher other caligraphic styles this one is just horrible. Arabic was not made for carving
