Carab Salaax have an Arab ancestor confirmed (Mehri tribe from Al-Mahra) but in terms of DNA it’s meaningless due to generations of intermarriage with Somalis.

Arab Salh is a subclan of the Arab tribe of Mahra, they mostly live in Puntland and to lesser extent in Galmudug and the South. They are are affiliated with the Majerteen Somali clan.
