I was just watching Stephanie Soo’s newest video on the Burning Sun Scandal (a s*x trafficking scandal) when I remembered ANOTHER insane high profile s*x trafficking case that took place in the same timeline in South Korea (the crimes were both taking place in 2018, so I’m assuming some people involved in the burning sun were also involved in the Nth room).
The Nth room case was a case that involved the use of telegram chat groups where men paid, shared and sometimes even MADE r*pe videos depicting extreme violence against women, particularly targeting middle school aged girls. The girls were referred to as “Slaves” and were often forced to carve the word into their body. Whereas the main operator of the Nth room was referred to as “Baksa” meaning “Doctor”.
“Doctor” would lure in girls by posting part-time job offers on twitter and once an application was made, he’d steal their personal information (name, age, school they go to, who their parents are, their address, etc…) and after securing the information, men would threaten the young, susceptible girls to share p0rnographic material. In some instances, the men would force the girls to insert live insects into their…, cut off their own n!pples, or would groom them to meet up in motels to r*pe them (I read all this in some articles I’m not a 100% sure how accurate this is, but I wouldn’t put it past those sick individuals). After r*ping the girls, the material would be shared in several chat rooms and the videos would be used to further subjugate more girls into keeping silent, or doing as their told so they don’t end up being r*ped (again, the men had their personal information).
Investigations by the Korean authorities determined that 60,000 users were paying to access r*pe content – I think I remember some of the users being revealed to be elementary school teachers.
Shortly after the arrest of the 14 main suspects in the case, this was the main keywords searched on p0rnhub…
