I have found a niche market thanks to Google keyword. Now after purehashing a domain I have to find a hosting site. Problem is the big ones all require hundreds of dollars up front.

Anyone know any cheap but good hosting sites. Needs to be WordPress compatible

bluehost.com seems to be a good one. The webhost you choose will depend of course on your specifications and type of website

Learning to use html and css seems redundant in my case. I'm ok with using WordPress as a content management system.

The site will be mainly text based, guides and a few videos. It's a mainly a project to see if I can run an effective SEO campaign.

Bluehost is the culprit in this situation quotes are in the hundreds

Hundreds of dollars for web hosting ? or do you mean web designing cost, coz web hosting is really cheap nowadays.

Bluehost quotes hundreds when trying to register a site but yeah I've found cheaper alternatives.

Wordpress is simple and easy to install google analytics and other tools,I'll be choosing that.
