Well, this has been working for me for a while and I put quotes all over my room that holds me accountable if I end up doing absolutely crap for my exams. Like, this one from Thomas Edison:

Also, I like to keep this in mind as well that if I work hard then there would be a day when I wouldn't have to work and there would be people working for me.

Wrong place to ask this kind of question.

We all shitpost to delay doing the things we need to do.

You should ask people who are actually accomplishing goals.

Seriously though, its discipline + routine. If you only rely on motivation you will fail.

The first 90 days of making good habits or breaking bad ones require will power and thats when you have to discipline yourself, after that it becomes routine. Think back to when you first had to brush your teeth twice a day, you first had to consciously remind yourself and eventually you weren't able to go sleep without brushing since you were going outside of you routine.

Imagine the person you want to become in the future and develop the habits required to become that end goal.

A big part of you is just a collection of habits.

Btw, if you do any homework or you want to spend a whole day making revision notes, you can listen to this:

It's soothing and you can enjoy the music as well as doing productive work.

The journey would be daunting and tiring but at least you can relax afterwards.

Good luck, hun!

Change of scenery required, holidays usually most effective I have found to recharge/kick procrastination to the curb, visit a family this Ramadan, just get out of whatever scenery rot your currently in (the more days the better)

As for studies or anything, do so in large public libraries, you feed of the energy of others studying around you, your bedroom is the worst place to get anything done, when I was at uni I couldn't even write a content page at home.

You can't get anything done in a place your body is programmed by default to rest/sleep/procrastinate all the time, it becomes a subconscious biological rhythmic cycle akin to going to bed at 8 every day, your melatonin will keep kicking in at that exact same time.

See that i understand .. now that i think about it its the trouble of being a somali girl i can't sit down for 2 min without having to cook, clean, baby sit , help entertain guests i'm the type of person when i create a routine and it gets broken or when i make a time table and i deviate from it for a min my whole plan falls apart , the only time i get alone time is at night and thats when i do most of my work , i get woken up early in the morning if i was a caadan girl i would be a millionaire by now just saying :abuxyga:

Still i need to stop complaining and blaming i'm sure i can find a way to work a around it thats why i sited the need for motivation because i'm not motivated enough so i make excuses subconsciously like "whats the point" you know ..... i dunno if i just made any sense.

Just kill yourself it gets rid of most problems.

People have gone to prison for saying that. There's people that have killed themselves cause someone said that to them.

Op

Make a list and tick it off as you go. I only waste a bit of time when I feel like I've earned it. Try to reward yourself with a break when you finish something.

Me and @shan-futo-le are going out Romeo and Juliet style :birdman:

Go and workout before you study! It will help you focus and be motivated

Good advice. Also stay hydrated and whatever distracts you (for most their phone), don't bring it to you. Force yourself to get done what needs to be done. Lastly create internal incentives. Reward yourself for completing a task.

Good luck.
