In my opinion Minnesota has a stronger community out of any state with Somalis and that’s my personal opinion

Minnesota is the best place for Somalis minus the cold weather. LA and San Diego are nice but you need money to prosper.

I live/grew up in Texas and I have a hate love relationship with the state. We have the largest Muslim population in the US but Islamophobia is apparent along with anti-blackness in and outside of some Muslim communities. Not paying state income taxes is nice but it shows with the shitty infrastructure and low-quality public schools. As for Somalis here it's a mixed bag of college-educated working professionals, business owners, and blue-collar jobs like warehouse employees/taxi drivers.

However, people here are perpetually depressed, it rains too much, and there are too many libs and gays.

I'm in Maine we've taken over this bish then a republican was governer many somalis left for minnesota and ohio we used to have thousands of somali bantus here as well don't see them a lot. Now it feels weird not seeing our people everywhere.
