Any computer science students?

What are some tips to get good at this degree programme? any books you'd recommend?
What is your intent?
a) Just to get a degree?
b) To become proficient in software engineering and construction?
c) Or just seeking a career path to make a living?

If (b), then the best three books in software construction, and deconstruction are:
  • Programming Pearls by J Bentley
  • How to break software by J A Whittaker
  • Design Patterns: Elements of reusable object-oriented Software by E Gamma et al

This job or career will die out in less than 5 years cause AI like chatgpt or Gemini Ai.
I highly doubt that, more like a bigger boom, I have a degree in CS but went into networking instead due to less stressful environment.

A.I will more likely cut low-level programmer Jobs and free up more time for the bigger and brighter things, I'm already seeing it affect my job, I don't have to write my own scripts for automation, but it still requires fundamental understanding just reduces the time it takes to do stuff.

We call that bloating, all the ICT companies overstocked in these sort of jobs, majority of those that lost their jobs were middle management, and low level programmers, these companies routinely cut jobs to improve profitability especially when they can sustain newly released software with skeleton crews.
