The way they prioritise their hospitality for Arab people is crazy. They were bending over backwards for GCC nationals so they can process them faster. They even closed some of the “all passenger lanes” so they can process more GCC nationals.

Next time tell the passport control that classic Somali adeer line: “nacam Ana atkallam carabi lakiin braader blease is sbeak in ingriis fadlan”

Honestly whenever I find Arabs in any country in the world and I speak Arabic with some of them it’s nothing but love. I remembered getting free food in Guadalajara Mexico from a Moroccan restaurant owner who refused to take my money simply out of carabnimo. It goes to show this narrative that Arabs hate Somalis is mostly driven by non-Arabic speaking Somali leftists residing in the West who also have an axe to grind against Islam also.

This hate/beef you see on the internet is mostly bs. Arabs and Somalis have nothing but mostly good relations with one another. @Cush @Scipio Africanus bring your takes

Carabnimo is real & alive.

I've visited Egypt, Lebanon and Morocco and got the Arab discount and free meals from the locals. On top of that, I got free rides from the locals when I was exploring the countryside :ftw9nwa:

Lmao so what? I was in Barcelona a few weeks ago and everyone spoke to me in Spanish, does that mean they thought I was Spanish?

Not the same tho is it? I have a Australian passport with a extremely Somali surname, and the border patrol officer has the option to speak English just like he is doing with everyone else, yet he choose to converse in Arabic

On the other hand, doesn’t Spain have a lot of madow folk? Maybe they thought you were one of those :chrisfreshhah:

He probably thought you were from Darfur [I'm assuming you have an Arab first name], hence why he conversed with you in Arabic :ftw9nwa:
I mean not really. I have a variation of Abdul [insert Allah’s names]. My middle name (my dad’s name) tho is a arab name so maybe that’s why

One day, an Arab uncle struck up a conversation with me, and towards the end, he asked if I knew we were brothers. Before that moment, I harbored doubts, but never again after that day did I doubt arabness.
