Guys- there is no question prophet Yaqoub was a gifted, wise prophet. pbuh. There is a scene in Surah Yusuf where Yaqoub pbuh is advising his sons NOT to enter one gate- because of fear of the jealous eye. After all, Yaqoub pbuh was blessed with 11 handsome sons- Yusuf pbuh being the 12th.
But what is fantastic is Allaah swt saying- that his beloved prophet did not have to advice his sons against entering the gates together. That Yaqoub's pbuh advice did not protect them from anything Allaah swt did not approve. Allaah swt goes ahead and emphasizes that Yaqoub's inner self or anxiety as we know in modern terms- prevailed him to advice his sons of this cautionary action- which Allaah swt states was unnecessary! Because Allaah swt - is the ultimate protector- despite one of his best prophets having been blessed with knowledge and wisdom!
This is fascinating isn't it? Ultimately-- Allaah swt prefer you say Tawaakaal Alaa Alllaah than using your wisdom or brain.
The funny thing is-- in the surah also- in the previous verses before-- Yusuf pbuh admits- the naafsi of humans are inclined to evilness. All sort of evilness- even the evilness of NOT trusting Allaah swt 1000%!!

"And he said: O my sons! Go not in by one gate; go in by different gates. I can naught avail you as against Allah. Lo! the decision rests with Allah only. In Him do I put my trust, and in Him let all the trusting put their trust."
Verse 68
Then when they entered as their father had instructed them, this did not help them against ˹the Will of˺ Allah whatsoever. It was just a desire in Jacob’s heart which he satisfied. He was truly blessed with ˹great˺ knowledge because of what We had taught him, but most people have no knowledge.
