Local Al-shabab commanders and fighters fearing the imminent capture of Ceelbuur have started turning their weapons over to their clan elders (Murusade and Duduble) as they plan to flee the town as civilians or surrender.


Al-Shabab commanders in Ceelbuur held a meeting 2 nights ago and have agreed to either go out on their own terms or to duke it out! Some decided to surrender, others decided to stay and fight and the rest decided to skip town.

Al-shabab are already split into many warring factions across Somalia and there’s some of their leaders like Shongole publicly pleading for their unity
