This is a confusing map

NorthernMajeerteeniya is contested between terrorists and MajeerteeniyaState but half of JSL is completely under MajeerteeniyaState

meanwhile Gaalkacyo is contested between terrorists and some entity that is neither GM nor PL

This map clearly shows that Al Shabab control smaller districts and almost all villages in the South. The gov forces control major towns like: Beledweyne, Buloburde, Baidoa, Marka, Barawe etc. While Shabab control the countryside of the above mentioned towns.
