Sulaiman ibn Abdullah ibn Amran al-Zayla'i al-Aswad al-Hanafi
He heard from al-Zabeedi, Ibn al-Latti, Ibn al-Muqayyar, and served in the service of the Mushaf al-Uthmani for some time. He transmitted Sahih al-Bukhari.
He passed away in the year 681H [1283 Gregorian].
He granted me permission to narrate from his sources.

about the book:
The "Mu'jam al-Shuyukh" or "Al-Mu'jam al-Kabir" is a book by Imam al-Dhahabi that includes mentions of those whom he met or who granted him permission (ijazah) in his youth, as well as many whom he granted ijazah to in his old age. It is one of his three dictionaries, namely the Al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, Al-Mu'jam al-Saghir, and the specialized one for hadith scholars, which he dedicated to his teachers in hadith.
