Building a 5-point plan for Puntland to achieve peace & prosperity:
(In no order)
1) Entreprenuerial economy (Diaspora-local economic initiative plan + Postal Service, HQ in Qardho given its locality in PL - that would bolster the economy x2-3 alone).
2) Confederacy states (includes full autonomy & removing any power of Xamar, albeit it is only currently nominal power)
3) Littoral expansion via road investment
4) Other constitutional issues like Debt (Xamar currently is developing through FDI debt that will be added to the nation, issues like this need to be discusssed)
5) Foreign policy (NFD & Somali Galbeed - Every discourse about them is unrealistic, what is needed is a gradual inclusion into confederate states over a period of 20-30 years as Somalia's confederacy matures. These two regions, NFD (which would be called Southern Juba) and Somali Galbeed (not Ogadenia as, unlike British Protectorate, we actually acknowledge their are multiple clans living in one area and this isn't guumaysi).
This is also just of the cuff, with a bit more thought and research, I could probably create a 10-point plan that is of exigent importance for Puntland, leader of Somali Maamuul Galbeed.
A working group needs to be formed. Practical policy design & deliberation. Lots of great minds here, potential is real.
I was part of a new SYL group before where we met up on Discord and revised the constitution. It had its benefits, healthy discussions and we did it as a way to commemorate the 80th anniversary of SYL but its practicality and implementation was an issue. Also part of an start-up young NGO which worked in Puntland and tried to do things differently NGO wise, but I personally see a dichotomy between NGO vs entreprenuership, and believe to create an entreprenuer state, we have to demonise and delegitimise NGOs, they work against us not for us. I mention this to say that practical work is plausible in PL, great minds can come together and work on a plan. It all starts with working groups, testing ideas and plans and progressing forward slowly.
What I'd love to get out of it would be best documents I can turn into policymaking ideas/designs. For e.g. post about Puntland's potential within energy sector. This rough idea I'll try to gather research and combine thoughts to turn into a policy design for future implementation.
