People are so uniformed on Africa history.

Out of all the history channels on youtube there is only a handful of content creators who actually know African history.

What time period is this?

christian influence in the middle of somali lands.
It's supposed to detail all the known states. Funny cause they exclude all the empires and kingdoms and city states in eastern Ethiopia, Somalia & Sudan but put up tribal confederations and call them bantu states.

The issue here is that Somali scholars have never included maps of Adal or Mogadishu’s greatest extent, nor that of the Ajuuran in their papers or books despite plenty of primary sources and archaeological remains of cities being available to create them. The laziness of Somali scholars strikes us once again. The map creator highlighted this as one of the issues.

In the mean time this map is a nice piece of propaganda for both the Pan-Ethiopianists and the anti-Somali hoteps.

What’s funny is all of the “bantu states” and most of the “west African imperial system” doesn’t have evidence of it being a state of any form but more chiefdoms as there no evidence of a clear and structured hierarchy system, a government that controlled the land and a writing system, there’s no evidence of cities in most these supposed civilizations.

Yet they completely lefted out proper African Somali civilisations like awdal and ajuuraan, which had evidence of cities, writing systems, hierarchy, an army, foreign contact and alliances with other civilisations, architectural legacy, extensive trade, it’s own currency system, hydraulic engineering etc the list goes on. This is why Afrocentrism isn’t for us, it’s always been Bantucentrism.

All of the Bantu states were small tribal federations which were backwards shitholes
Only actual state was kongo kingdom which was a slave pseudo colonial state that sold slaves to the Portuguese who gave them guns to invade interior tribes and bring them to the coast for the Portuguese during the 1500s

Have you seen whatifalthist’s (Retarded pseudo intellectual YouTuber) video on Africa. I was surprised as why he had Stone Age Bantu societies as urban states while having the entire Somali peninsula as goat herders. But now seeing this map I understand it. Imagine how much more people think that Somalia had no civilization due to erroneous maps such as these.

Mos for these aren’t kingdoms but tribes
They somehow conveniently forgot all the Muslim Sultanates and Emirates like Adal, Ifat, Ajuran, Bale, Fategar, Shewa, Majeerteenia, Harar or the Christian dynasties of Abyssinia who actually had state religions, royal court, organization and wealth. etc.

All the Bantu states beside kongo didn’t even crack a 100 years in length and they are also mostly based by on oral sources and mythology

Not really, it was a mix between Bantu and Middle Easterners like Persians and later Arabs. Most of the dna of people who lived there were paternally Middle Eastern and maternally Bantu.
