I hate this argument that recognising Maay will cause division. Maay is not causing any division to Somalia or somalis. What's really causing division is tribes and qabyaalad. How about we abolish tribes? You wouldnt support that would you?

At the end of the day Somali language is comprised of Af Maay and Maxaa. You can't compare Af Maay to smaller dialects spoken in one city by one subclan compared to Maay which is spoken by millions over 6 regions within Somalia.

I personally believe those two regions are inseperable and intertwined. I don't even believe they can a border.

The same people live in the two regions. You will find Reewins in koonfur galbeed and jubbaland Saakow and qansaxdheere have the same tribes, Baardheere and Luuq and Berdaale and waajid have the same tribal populations.

They are inseperable. Also Daaroods live in kgs same way they live in jubbaland. Ceelberde has Absame and Absame also live in jubbaland.

As for Dir same thing. Biimaal live in Merca Cadey all the way to Jamaame and kismaayo. Gaadsan live in Bakool and Gedo.
