Affirming Allāh has Feet over the Footstool:

Affirming that Allah has a foot, understanding these attributes in a literal sense without metaphorically—distorting their meaning (Tahreef), without denying them (Tateel), without saying ‘how’ they are (Takyeef) and without likening Him to His creation (Tamteel).

Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “Hell will keep saying, ‘Are there any more (to come)?’ until the Lord of Glory, may He be blessed and exalted, places His foot on it, then it will say, ‘Enough, enough, by Your glory!’ And all its parts will be integrated together.” (Sahih Al Bukhari 6661 and Sahih Muslim 2848)

This indicates that it is confirmed that Allah, may He be exalted, has a foot.

Ibn Abbas (May Allah be pleased with him) said: “The Kursiy (foot stool) is the place of the two feet, and the size of Throne cannot be known.”

Abu Ismā`īl Al-Harawī (481H) with his chain of narration to Ibn `Abbās (رضي الله عنه) who said: “Indeed the Kursee (Footstool) is the place of the two Feet [of Allāh], and none is able to estimate the greatness of the Throne with its true estimation.”

Note:​

This hadeeth establishes the `aqeedah of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamā`ah in the following:

1. The affirmation of the attribute of the two Feet of Allāh in a manner that befits His Majesty, without likeness with the created beings.
2. The belief in the Kursee (Footstool) and that it is the place of the Feet of the Lord.
3. The belief in the mighty Throne (the `Arsh).
4. That both the Footstool and the `Arsh are creations of Allāh.
5. Ibn `Uthaimeen (rahimahullāh) stated: Though this is a statement of Ibn `Abbās, it is nevertheless ascribed to the Messenger (salallāhu `alaihi wassallam), because this is an affair where ijtihād has no place.
6. The Prophet (salallāhu `alaihi wassallam) said: ((مَا السَّمَوَاتُ السَّبْعُ فِي الكُرْسِيِّ إِلاَّ كَحَلْقَةٍ مُلْقَاةٍ بِأَرْضِ فَلاَةٍ، وَفَضْلُ العَرْشِ عَلَى الكُرْسِيِّ كَفَضْلِ تِلْكَ الفَلاَةِ عَلَى تِلْكَ الحَلْقَةِ)) “The Seven Heavens as compared to the Footstool is naught except like a ring thrown out into an open desert; and the greatness of the Throne over the Footstool is like that desert over that ring.” Authenticated by Al-Albānee in As-Silsilatus-Saheehah 1/174.

allah is above the throne (the arsh) and below the (arsh) is his kursi (footstool) where he places his feet. we don’t liken him to the creation or think about the how and why we just simple take what he describes us as face value and don’t worry about the details

The Kursiy (footstool) is situated beneath the Throne, serving as the place for the two feet, while the Lord ascended above His Throne.

allah explicitly states in the quran he has hands. why do you assume it’s a metaphor when you can just take it face value and not worry about the how and why?

Al Haafiz Nu'aym Ibn Hammaad (Rahimullah) said: “Whosoever resembles Allaah to His creation, then he has disbelieved, and whosoever denies whatever Allaah described himself with, then he has disbelieved. And whatever Allaah has described Himself with, or whatever His Messenger (saw) has described Him with, then it contains no tashbeeh at all." [Al Uluww(no. 217)]

This is called التشبيه. You make Allah seem like a human being like us. If it is mentioned that Allah has a face and two hands, this does not mean that it is like us. Rather, we are only taking the information and not adding anything to it. The divine essence is something different.

If i say my clock has two hands, you obviously know they aren’t human hands. Please show me which scholars or the Salaf/Wahabbis said Allah has hands that are human hands, as you alluded to ?

• Affirm what Allah has said about Himself
• Negate what Allah has negated about Himself
• Do not affirm or negate what Allah did not affirm or negate about Himself

Allah says He has a Face? Then he has one, just as the sahaba understood he has one, and that in Jannah the greatest pleasure will be gazing upon His Face after the Veil is removed. Allah said there is nothing like unto Him? Then His Face is not like anything we’ve seen before, and not like anything we can imagine. That’s it. No need to play around with it. It’s seriously just that straightforward!

Clocks have hands and a face too, but obviously they aren’t like humans hands and faces. Allah’s attributes are even more unlike that comparison — to literally an unimaginable level.

The problem is that other people automatically anthropomorphise for some reason. When Allah says He has a Face, others automatically think of human faces and thus say okay maybe it’s a metaphor - but Allah already negated a human face for himself, so there is no need to interpret it as a metaphor.

If they listen to Allah when He says there is nothing like unto Him, inshaAllah they will stop thinking of human faces when He mentions His Face.
