yes, an older lady from the UK but she stopped checking her messages, I hope she is ok because she was eager to speak to my pops

Yes I’ve seen two adoptees on mine. Both are trying to find their parents, but both are 3rd cousins so I can’t help with that

were they adopted by white parents in america?

One was adopted by white parents in America, the other was adopted by French family in Djibouti and raised in France

Mashallah. were they able to find any closer relatives

They both said closest cousins on 23&me are 3rd cousins. So it’s difficult because they don’t know much about their family. The French one started public outreach now

I really felt bad for one of them.

She was so convinced that she finally found a long-lost relative aka me yet we were like 5th cousins.

Broke my heart to burst her bubble.

Our DNA overlap was negligible yet she wanted to talk to right away.

Not sure how she took it but told her that all Somalis are like 3rd to 6th cousins or so, so we were not actual relatives.

No , but I have some half Somalis , with European surnames as 3rd to 5th cousin
