Iran and UAE don’t have any major interests to carry out petty beefs inside Ethiopia. They still have to maintain international diplomacy in foreign countries with established embassies.

They are currently in a Cold War in Yemen. After the Major Loss of Hodeidah port to the Houthis the emirates stopped their military campaigns and were contempt with just keeping hold of what’s left of the coastal and inland parts of Lahji & south of Ad Dhali.

It’s the reason why the Houthis publicly Bypass UAE allied southern forces and instead attack Pro Saudi Government areas like Marib,Baqim and besieged Taiz. The Houthis also occupy large parts of Sunni provinces of Baydhaa and are at the doorsteps of Shabwah province which is overlooked by these UAE Militas.

The Houthis don’t want to fight more than 1 Battlefield at a time. They are waiting to overcome the Saudi allied coalition front and once they declare Victory, then what’s stopping them from invading Aden like they did in 2014?

This is not a problem for DDS. Not as if Liyu haven’t been the most useful collaborators for the federal government, other than maybe Afars.

I agree. But I'm afraid that the times of military struggle is over. Abiy's regime is different from any other we've seen before. His crackdown are ruthless, look at Tigray and now Oromia.

The only practical way for us succeeding is if we see other liberation groups throughout the entire country, facing the gov't at the same time since they would never be able to beat us all, at once. We've seen their weakness. In Tigray, they needed Eritreans and Amharas, just to keep Tigrayans at stand-still. We've also seen their failures in combatting several fronts at the same time recently. Hence, why they choose to pause their counter-activities against OLA, during the Tigray war.

Truth. The TPLF only put such a strong effort up because Ethiopia’s heaviest weapons were stockpiled in their region to defend from any potential attacks from Eritrea. And even then they were defeated and submitted to Addis within a year. The Somalis as of right now would be destroyed if they tried the same.
