There's parallels to Abdi illey and Abdullahi Sadeq, both were governors of ogaden who got arrested when a new leader emerged in Ethiopia. Abdullahi Sadeq was a harari who was appointed governor of ogaden by Iyasu and he also mediated between Dervish state and Ethiopians. It makes you wonder why, anytime a governor brings peace between Ethiopians and Somalis he is violently arrested. Abdullahi was arrested when iyasu was overthrown and later died of poison given to him by Haile selassie. Haile Selassie would pardon prisoners then poison them or give injections of mind altering drugs that would mentally disable the person. Picture of Iyasu with Abdullahi Sadeq below
