I honestly don't see much difference between the what Sheikh is describing when he talks about the original, historical khawarij who lived in the time of Uthman and the Muslim Brotherhood.
Another point I'd like to mention and this is not coming from me but from what I was taught- we have nowadays people combining khawarij ideology and liberalism. The original khawarij who lived in the Uthman and Ali times- they were very strict but nowadays you have people who both promote khawarij ideology and liberal ideology. So they'll promote liberalism one moment then encourage Muslims to go start civil wars in the Muslim countries.
