5th December 2022, exactly one year ago today, was when SNA recaptured Aadan yabaal from Al Shabaab. Strategic town that was their second base in South central Somalia after Ceelbuur. Today it’s a bustling town with the building of a new well, reopening of the main school and hospital, as well as implementing solar lights and even hosting football tournaments.

Mashallah amazing. I hope this can be extended to all the new towns that will soon be captured from shabaab.

I think the biggest task after defeating AS will be trying to establish dowlad in the ex AS cities. Giving those people access to basic things like schools, hospitals and government services.

Also trying to reintigrate people that were born / raised under shabaab rule back into society to become productive citizens.
