The pension system was built when birth rates were high and life expectancy was only like 60 years old. Now life expectancy is 80+ years old and birth rates are low. The system will collapse.

I give it 10 years for rich countries in Europe, Asia and North America to import africans en masse to uphold infrastucture, healthcare etc. The catch is, these countries will employ the Gulf arab countries method. Africans will simply come for work.

They probably won't go through with it . At least I hope. They are under a lot of economic pressure, they don't have the tax base to fund their pensions and healthcare for their elderly. Immigration might help... but you know the Japanese.

A lot more peaceful and docile. I remember reading something about how ridiculous/neurotic the Japanese covid response was getting. They had extreme restrictions well into 2022, all encouraged by their fearful elderly population-as they are the largest voting block.

Eastern Europe is already mass importing North Africans & South Asians. Romania imported 100k foreign workers in 2022 & companies there requested 150k MORE permits due to a real labor shortage. Keep in mind, this is just legal immigration. If you go to the immigration department in Bucharest, you'll even see a few Ethiopians/Eritreans/Somalis.

I have seen on twitter that a lot of eastern european countries have given work permits for 100s of thousand of foreign workers. Imagine, native people from these countries go to richer european countries to work. Romania alone has millions of citizens abroad working. Labor shortage is real all over the developed world.

Why not just incentivize childbirth, the only reason why Japan's birth rate is so low is because people have no time to have kids as they're constantly working.

If you give women time off as well as large sums of money to be able to support her and her family then the birth rate would likely increase.
