The comparison isn't valid sxb. The Geri have never been Oromo, nor claimed Oromo. The name Geri was added to Oromos who became Somalized. Jarso became Somalized through us, and was given the name, Geri Jarso.
On the other hand, you fellow brethren has willingly chosen to be part the Oromo state and significant of them, even became part of the Oromo clan system. So, there are more pro-Oromo/Oromo state than you're trying to portray (despite the problems they face with Oromos).
In any case, Karanles are just like other Somalis who live there. They live next to us, and we have no issues with them. Laakin, most of them despite being under Oromia, are proud Somalis and will not shy away from it. We shouldn't create problems between us either.

It depends on how you look at it. From what I can remember of the census 10-ish years ago, only 20% of the population was urban inhabitants and 80% farmers & pastoralist, the latter of whom significantly higher than Somalia which stands at right above 50%
Due to the relatively stability of DDS, and being connected to the booming Ethiopian economy, those in urban cities tend to do well. However when droughts happens, it's probably on par with Somalia if not worse due to high number of non-urban inhabitants.
Hawiye of Ethiopia are spreading far and wide alhamdulilah. In this short video, according to this Xaskul Hawiye elder from Baabile who came to visit Xamar, clans like Jiidle (Gugundhabe) and Gaaljecel are roaming deep in the hawash in the midst of the Afar and Oromo just 200 kilometers from Addis in a place called hardeen and are holding it down by beating the day lights of Afar and Oromo.
Amhara know us very well. We Karanle killed between 6 to 9 Amhara Emperors according to the Habesha we are truly the Caesers of Somalis

Interesting. Do Hawiye in Haraghe and surrounding areas (including the places you mentioned) live in land that are connected with each other? Or is it in “enclaves” in different parts. I personally only have knowledge of the Karanle and Gugundhabe who live next to the border with us, in eastern Hararghe.
On another note, I feel like we Somalis should put the qabyaalad centered mindset to the side and cooperate more. Especially in Ethiopia, where most of us don’t have same history between the clans, as in Somalia of the last 40 years with endless inter/intra-clan problems. There is no reason for us to have this divisive thinking between us, especially as we face the same issues in the country.

Sorry for the late reply brother. I lost the password to my other account so I made a new one. You are absolutely right that we should leave the qabyalad mindset aside. Our ancestors used to fight together in an organised manner against their enemies and would most of the time triumph over them. Unfortunately we have lost this way of thinking and are now suffering the consequences.
As for your question. The Hawiye live in both connected and enclaved areas across Ethiopia. Many examples, Babili, dhandhama, Qarsadula, Iimey, Maeso, Mulli, Matahara etc. The garaad of Karanle ( Garaad Cali ) speaks of this in the video I send earlier where he mentions the different types of Hawiye deegaans and their respective languages. He mentions all these different groups some of whom speak different languages like Arabic, Somali, Oromo, Sidama, bilingual etc.
They live in many other places like Bale and Sidama (only Sixawle is more than a million in Sidama). Fardanow of Dagodia live there too.
At 5:40 he talks about the different groups of Hawiye incuding the Sidame and Bale ones aswell as their respective languages
