I don’t understand how can a president single handly can fix Somalia 40 years plus underlying promblems even you bring Jesus Christ back from heaven can’t solve within four years period. Gradual change is not bad, building trust and the institutions can't be done overnight. Somalia is on a positive trajectory, albeit slow, this will snowball over time.

Nah, you are just being short sighted. Compare Somalia now with Somalia 2015, the change in all institutions have been huge.

Compare 2015 and 2010 is similiar.

Somalia , whatever people want to say, is getting better but it just needs time to strengthen. The great man fallacy is what holds many poor nations back. A country built on pluracy and democratic ideals is much more anti-fragile.

In 2025 you will also see a huge difference and so on. We have alot of room to grow, that said I would expect us to stagnate around 2050.
