a friend of mine is running for office in Nairobi, the somali neighbourhood of Eastleigh. He also happens to be a sultan in somaliland but was born and bred in kenya. He is running against another somali who has dominated the constituency for a decade. But I have this feeling that my friend might pull it off. Funny if he does so it will be the first elected isaaq in all their 100 and plus years in kenya.
